How it all began
A commitment to partnership
Born from a desire to bottle his secret sauce and share how to create & run successful hospitality concepts, Eric formed The Scheffer Group as an umbrella company to manage and operate his various concepts in Asheville, NC.
As arguably the most successful and longest-standing restaurateur in Asheville, Eric is a true leader and visionary. At the core of his many successful ventures, you’ll find the same principles—a mastery of hospitality economics, stellar team motivation & management, strong restaurant cultures, and working environments that truly change people’s lives.
Eric is probably most well-known for his relentless generosity and intentional purpose to give back to his community. Having mentored numerous young chefs and hospitality professionals, he has been a catalyst for a great many culinary careers and projects.
At the center of The Scheffer Group’s dedication is an ethos of service. He believes that the service of others is a gift and an honor, and he relishes the opportunity to share his methods on everything from motivating & developing employees, to creating culture-driven experiences, to inculcating a brand’s mission into the lives of team members and guests.
