An accounting pro of 15+ years, Rene Hermanson is the CFO and Controller of the Scheffer Group. She has been on the inside of the restaurant industry since she was 17, and has been working side-by-side with Eric since 2005, when she joined the team at the Savoy as bookkeeper. Eric tagged her as the General Manager of Vinnie’s at its inception, and through her leadership and attention to detail, she was to build the lasting financial backbone for the company that continues today.

In 2014, Rene created her own accounting company, Book & Branch, which symbiotically powers the Scheffer Group. Book & Branch handles all Scheffer Group concept books, as well as 30 other hospitality clients.

Her financial literacy and experience with the unique economics of the hospitality industry allow her to strategically develop budgets and guide concept managers in how to pull high profits in an industry known for its tight margins.
