Hospitality Rooted in Connection and Care

At The Scheffer Group, we believe relentless generosity brings us closer together. Through our support of local nonprofits, we strive to create environments that uplift, empower, and inspire positive change in the community we love.

The Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR) was co-founded by Owner/Chef Eric Scheffer in 2003 to promote collaboration among Asheville’s independent eateries. Its mission is to foster a strong community of restaurants that prioritize local sourcing, culinary excellence, and sustainability. As a not-for-profit, AIR works to support over 150 independent restaurants, offering resources like food safety training and advocating for the local food scene. Eric's role in founding AIR has helped shape Asheville's vibrant restaurant landscape and continues to uplift the local food community.

Owner/Chef Eric Scheffer played a pivotal role in introducing Dining Out for Life to Asheville over a decade ago, helping to bring awareness and support to this impactful cause. Each year, The Scheffer Group restaurants proudly continue to participate in this important event, contributing to the fight against HIV/AIDS and supporting the local community through compassionate hospitality and generosity.
